Each membership tier features customizable subscription lengths with discounts available. You can subscribe for 12 months, 6 months, 3 months, or simply pay month-to-month. These subscriptions are auto-renewing and include a one-week trial with purchase. Credit bundles are automatically granted after payment goes through.

AI Text Models

AI Dungeon’s text models are available to the various tiers at different context lengths:

We also have several AI image models you can use to generate unique pictures of your Adventures during gameplay. Your membership tier determines how many Credits each image costs across different models:

More Context

We recently doubled the context sizes offered in AI Dungeon. The new context lengths are aligned with each tier. Free gets up to 2k tokens of context, Adventurer gets up to 4k, Champion gets up to 8k, Legend gets up to 16k, and Mythic gets up to 32k. Legend and Mythic players can also use larger context lengths by spending 1 credit per action for a set amount of context tokens (only applicable for some models).

Context length determines how much text is sent to the AI model to generate the next action in an AI Dungeon Adventure. When you take an action, your Adventure text is combined with any information stored in the AI Instructions, Story Summary, Plot Essentials, Author’s Notes, and relevant Story Cards. If you’re using a shorter context length, the beginning of your Adventure will likely be trimmed, or Story Cards may be removed in order to fit in the context window.

By increasing the context length, you are increasing the amount of your Adventure (and additional details like Plot Essentials and Story Cards) the AI can receive and consider for your next action. More context can help improve the quality and coherency of Adventures, especially as they get longer.

Note: Models available for larger context are Mixtral, MythoMax, Tiefighter, and GPT-4o, up to their maximum possible context length.
